The Fishing DVD use a range of Lowrance products, ensuring that our time on the water is as productive as we can make it. It is quite a thrill to see the fish on your sounder, adjust your rig and tactics to target those fish, then have the rod double over with a savage strike as all the pieces of the puzzle come together.

Sounders don't replace the need to hone your personal fishing skills - like observation, reading the water and weather, and understanding your quarry's habits and preferences. The fact is that sometimes personal skill is just not enough. The trackless waters of a big lake or the open ocean are a prime example. This is when Lowrance becomes your senses below the water. Lowrance's GPS will pinpoint exactly where you need to be, and their super-bright sonar displays will let you know if anybody is home. Sounders come into their own when the fish are deep.

In our TABS 4.2 metre Bullshark, we alternate between two separate units. This boat is set up for fishing rivers and creeks, and protected inshore waters. The first unit is the Lowrance X510C. This unit has been discontinued, and is now replaced by the fantastic Mark and Elite series. These units come with new Smart Menus, GPS and Chart capabilities.

The other unit we use in our TABS is the new Lowrance 5" HDS. This little unit has all the features you could possibly want, and can be fitted with lowrances new StructureScan. See the bottom has never been clearer. GPS, charts, sidescan, downscan, bright display - all at your finger tips.
