EXMOUTH - Fred - February 2010

Escaping the deep freeze at home, Alaskan Twin Peaks Adventures fishing guide Fred DeCicco spent his time stalking the flats near Exmouth WA.

Aided by local fly fisherman Alan Donald, Fred spotted this black spot tusk fish in the clear shallows. That is one to add to the species list on fly gear!

Will we be seeing international and local anglers heading o'seas to go fishing, spending their money elsewhere than the local economies?

Brown Trout - Kate - January 2010

Kate thought she would like to try a bit of fly fishing while on holiday.
Having attended the fly casting day Hooked on Angling & Outdoors had with Nial Logan and Gordon Low some time back, (and doing no practice since) - she like all 12 year olds thought she knew what she was doing.

Apparently she did listen! This is her first ever fish on fly, a nice 3lb brown trout. Lucky for her her holiday was in the south island of New Zealand!

Don't 12 year olds know the meaning of "ímpossible"?

Abrolhos Island - Mark - December 2009

Hi all,
It was my first trip to the Abrolhos Islands and had been great so far landing several different species including my first Coral Trout which was only half an hour earlier and itself was a great for a first weighing in at 4.8kg.

Next spot we dropped our lines in, I had a hit instantly. At first it didn't feel to large until the line started screaming off my reel heading one way and then the other with me struggling to stop it.

We never got to weigh it but everyone on board guessed at least 40kg and I tell it felt like it holding it up. One of the best things for me besides landing it was seeing him/her recover and swim back down to the depths again .I hope you like my catch.

GOT TO LOVE THE HARBOUR - Doug - December 2009
Hi all,
I'm really looking forward to the next issue of Fishing DVD highlighting what a great fishery Sydney Harbour really is.
Here are a couple of photos from my last session on the Harbour with my partner. These fish were caught at midday on the weekend within an hour of each other. this jew was Sash's first and she was over the moon!

You have to love our Harbour.
